The future of work just got real. Salesforce slashed nearly half its customer support team as AI agents now handle 50% of customer interactions, proving automation isn't coming, it's already here.

Key Points:

  • Massive workforce reduction: 4,000 customer support jobs eliminated, downsizing from 9,000 to 5,000 staff members

  • AI dominance: Artificial intelligence now manages half of all customer conversations through advanced "agentic" systems

  • Strategic redeployment: Affected employees moved to sales roles to boost distribution capacity rather than outright termination

  • Legacy problem solving: AI tackling 26-year backlog of 100 million uncalled sales leads previously impossible due to staffing constraints

  • Revenue impact: AI and data cloud products generating over $1 billion in revenue as fastest-growing segment

  • CEO flip-flop: Marc Benioff contradicted his July 2025 stance that "humans aren't going away" with this dramatic automation push

This represents 5% of Salesforce's global workforce and signals how quickly AI capabilities are reshaping corporate operations. The seamless human-AI handoff system mirrors Tesla's autopilot approach.

Personal Take: We're witnessing the first wave of white-collar job displacement that'll just grow from here exponentially. Companies will prioritize AI efficiency over human employment, fundamentally reshaping the social contract between workers and companies.

Nvidia just posted a record-shattering $46.7 billion in Q2 revenue, but a shocking 39% came from only two unnamed customers. This concentration is drawing industry curiosity and not a little concern about the future balance of power in the AI hardware space.

  • Nearly 40% of Nvidia’s Q2 revenue originated from two direct customers, labeled only as “Customer A” and “Customer B.”

  • Customer A alone contributed 23% of total revenue; Customer B brought in 16%. The identities of these companies remain undisclosed.

  • Four other key customers collectively made up another 46% of revenue in Q2.

  • Nvidia clarified these are direct customers, OEMs, distributors, or system integrators, not the end-users like cloud giants.

  • Major cloud providers (Amazon, Google, Microsoft) likely buy indirectly from these direct buyers, not as named customers.

  • A whopping 88% of all Nvidia revenue this quarter came from its data center segment, with half that driven by large cloud providers.

  • Analysts note that this creates concentration risk, but these big spenders are cashed up and expected to keep investing heavily in AI infrastructure.

Nvidia’s Q2 numbers are mind-blowing, but bets are placed on the deep pockets of buyers continuing to fuel the AI boom.

Personal Take: Nvidia’s heavy dependence on two buyers supercharges its short-term growth but exposes it to serious risk if those giants pull back. This customer concentration boosts AI progress but centralizes power among a few mega-players.

Swarm Network, a platform developing decentralized protocols for AI agents, has announced the success of its first project, Rollup News. Unlike traditional apps or centralized algorithms, Rollup News functions as a decentralized “swarm” of AI agents that work together to verify information and counter online disinformation.

Key Features:

  • Decentralized AI Agent Swarms: Build and launch your own decentralized swarms with complete ownership, governance rights, and multiple revenue streams.

  • Multi-Agent Collaboration Framework: An interconnected system that orchestrates multiple AI agents and humans toward common goals.

  • Truth Protocol: A decentralized trust layer for boundless human-AI collaboration, ensuring verifiable truth through secure, on-chain data.

Applications:

  • Digital Securities: Swarm Network supports the development of a digital securities economy, providing tools for regulatory-compliant fundraises and security token issuances.

  • AI-Agent Clusters and Swarms: Users can build, deploy, and operate AI-agent clusters and swarms without coding, promoting real-world utility.

Personal Take: Disinformation has already influenced elections, shaped policies, and harmed lives worldwide. Swarm’s decentralized approach aims to provide a more trustworthy alternative by using collaborative AI agents to uncover facts without centralized control or political agendas.
