Vidu: China’s text-to-video model

Crispy Bites: Vidu is a text-to-video AI model developed by Tsinghua University and the Chinese AI startup ShengShu Technology.

Key Features:

• AI model can generate up to 16 second videos in 1080p resolution

• During a live demo in Beijing, Vidu showcased its ability to replicate real-life details such as lighting, shadows, and facial expressions.

Although Vidu's videos are shorter at 16 seconds compared to Sora's 60-second clips, they exemplify China's progress in AI technology.
