Opus 4.7 does something no previous model could do reliably — it takes your hardest coding work, runs it to completion, checks its own output and hands it back clean. No supervision required.
Biggest gains on the most difficult tasks. Long-running, multi-step jobs handled with precision and self-verified before you ever see the result.
Higher resolution image understanding. It sees more, misses less.
Higher-quality interfaces, slides and documents. Less generic, more considered.
Auto-blocks prohibited and high-risk security uses out of the box. Legitimate security professionals pen testers, vulnerability researchers, red teams, can apply to the new Cyber Verification Program for full access.
Available now everywhere Claude runs API, Bedrock, Vertex AI, Microsoft Foundry. Pricing stays the same: $5/M input, $25/M output.
Personal Take: Everyone's obsessing over benchmarks. Anthropic just shipped something more valuable, an AI that doesn't need you watching over its shoulder. Self-verification sounds like a small technical detail. It isn't. It's the difference between a tool you use and a teammate you trust. That shift is everything.
The full software lifecycle. Now in the age of AI.
WeAreDevelopers World Congress comes to San José, CA — September 23–25, 2026. 10,000+ developers, 500+ speakers, and the full software development lifecycle under one roof, in the heart of Silicon Valley.
Kelsey Hightower. Thomas Dohmke (fmr. CEO, GitHub). Christine Yen (CEO, Honeycomb). Mathias Biilmann (CEO, Netlify). Olivier Pomel (CEO, Datadog). The people actually building the tools you use every day — all on one stage.
AI, cloud, DevOps, security, architecture, and everything real builders ship with. Workshops, masterclasses, and the official congress party.

The app is available now and aims to evolve into a more personal and proactive desktop assistant. Available Now at macOS 15 and above. Download at gemini.google/mac.
Personal Take: This shows the direction AI is heading not separate tools, but integrated assistants. The more invisible and accessible AI becomes, the more powerful it feels in daily work.
Most AI content is fascinating. None of it is useful.
You’ve read the AI breakdowns. Watched the million AI explainers. Nodded along to the hot takes.
And then opened a blank doc and had no idea what to actually do.
