Claude can now use Skills to improve task performance. Skills are folders with instructions, scripts, and resources accessed as needed. They improve Claude's ability for tasks like Excel work or adhering to brand guidelines.
How Skill works:
Go to Claude Settings and turn on the Skills feature.
For Team/Enterprise, admins must enable skills for the whole organization.
Claude provides built-in skills for tasks like creating Excel, PowerPoint, and Word docs and PDFs.
These are ready to use and invoked automatically.
Use the "skill-creator" in Claude to easily build your own skill folders.
Claude will interview you, organize instructions and files, and create the needed folder and SKILL.md file. No manual editing required.
Simply upload skill folders (instructions/scripts/resources) to Claude.
You can add multiple skills; Claude will combine and use them as needed.
Claude automatically scans all your uploaded skills.
