Welcome to AI Toast!

Here’s what’s on the menu today:

  • Google Launches Gemini 3.1 Pro 🤩

  • Cursor can now learn from your previous chats

  • Reliance unveils $110B AI investment plan

  • Superhero Tools for productivity (Freemium)

  • Step by step tutorial on how to use ‘Photoshoot’ feature in Pomelli

  • Quick Toasts: Amazon AI Marketplace

Total read time: About 5 minutes, perfect for a quick coffee break.

Gemini 3.1 Pro is now rolling out and the headline number is hard to ignore 77.1% on ARC-AGI-2, more than double its predecessor.

  • The Upgrade: A more advanced core reasoning model designed for complex problem-solving across science, engineering, and everyday applications.

  • Where It’s Available: 3.1 Pro is rolling out to developers via the Gemini API, AI Studio, Gemini CLI, Android Studio, and Antigravity; to enterprises through Vertex AI and Gemini Enterprise; and to consumers in the Gemini app and NotebookLM (Pro and Ultra plans).

  • Performance Jump: On ARC-AGI-2, a benchmark testing new logic reasoning, 3.1 Pro scored 77.1% more than double the previous Gemini 3 Pro’s performance.

  • What It’s Built For: The model is designed for tasks where simple answers aren’t enough, such as advanced reasoning, data synthesis, visual explanations, and complex workflows.

  • Strategic Direction: Google says 3.1 Pro strengthens the “core intelligence” behind Gemini and will continue evolving before full general availability, especially for ambitious agent-based workflows.

  • Bigger Picture: This move signals Google’s focus on improving foundational reasoning across its ecosystem rather than just adding surface-level features.

Google says 3.1 Pro is designed for when you need real thinking, synthesizing data, explaining complex topics visually, or bringing creative projects to life.

Personal Take: Benchmarks are one thing. But doubling reasoning performance in just a few months tells you Google is in serious catch-up mode and it's working. Worth keeping an eye on how this performs in real research and coding workflows over the next few weeks.

Dictate prompts and tag files automatically

Stop typing reproductions and start vibing code. Wispr Flow captures your spoken debugging flow and turns it into structured bug reports, acceptance tests, and PR descriptions. Say a file name or variable out loud and Flow preserves it exactly, tags the correct file, and keeps inline code readable. Use voice to create Cursor and Warp prompts, call out a variable like user_id, and get copy you can paste straight into an issue or PR. The result is faster triage and fewer context gaps between engineers and QA. Learn how developers use voice-first workflows in our Vibe Coding article at wisprflow.ai. Try Wispr Flow for engineers.

Cursor is adding memory, allowing it to reference past conversations while working on new tasks.

  • How It Works: Cursor can reference earlier chats to better understand ongoing projects, coding decisions, and user preferences without needing repeated explanations.

  • Why It Matters: This reduces back-and-forth and helps maintain continuity in longer projects, especially in complex codebases.

  • Developer Impact: Instead of re-prompting the AI with background every time, developers can rely on shared memory across sessions.

  • The Bigger Shift: AI coding tools are moving from one-off assistants to more persistent collaborators that build context over time.

The real value isn’t just smarter answers, it’s remembering what you’ve already built and discussed.

Personal Take: I feel this like a small update with big impact. One of the biggest frustrations with AI tools is having to repeat yourself. If Cursor truly remembers context in a useful way without getting confused it could make working with AI feel much more natural and less transactional.

The Reliance chairman on Thursday unveiled a staggering ₹10 trillion (roughly $110 billion) plan to build out India’s AI computing backbone over the next seven years.

  • Reliance has begun building multi-gigawatt data centers in Jamnagar, Gujarat, with more than 120 megawatts expected to go live in the second half of 2026.

  • Earlier this week, Adani Group floated its own $100 billion data center ambitions, while the government is projecting more than $200 billion in AI infrastructure spend over the next two years.

  • Global players are circling too, OpenAI is working with Tata Group on an initial 100-megawatt AI capacity build-out, with plans to scale much higher.

  • Ambani said, “India cannot afford to rent intelligence.” The goal is familiar.

  • Reliance playbook drive costs down and adoption up, much like Jio once did with mobile data.

  • Reliance says it will work with enterprises, startups and universities to embed AI across manufacturing, logistics, agriculture, healthcare and financial services.

Personal Take: This is Reliance trying to do to AI what it did to telecom, build the pipes first, then own the ecosystem that runs on top of them. The scale is eye-watering. The real question is execution.

Create studio-quality product images with Pomelli

Product photography used to be expensive, time consuming and stressful. Google just killed all three problems at once. Pomelli’s new feature just dropped: Photoshoot.

Now you upload a single image of your product and get studio-quality shots back.

  1. Go to https://labs.google/pomelli in your web browser. Click "Sign Up" or log in with your Google account, it's free, no credit card needed.

  2. Once inside, set up your Business DNA first. Add your brand name, colors, and style so Pomelli keeps every image on-brand automatically.

  3. Click on Photoshoot from the dashboard. This is the feature that turns your product photos into studio-quality shots.

  4. Upload your product image, don't stress about quality. A simple phone photo works. Pomelli handles the polish.

  5. Choose a template, pick from Studio (clean background, professional lighting) or Lifestyle (real-world setting). Or let Pomelli suggest one based on your product.

  6. Hit Generate and let it run. Pomelli applies your Business DNA and creates professional-looking images in seconds.

  7. Review your output check lighting, background, and how your product looks. If something feels off, use the edit feature. Type something like "change background to marble" or "make it brighter."

  8. Want a different style? Upload a reference image and tell Pomelli to restyle your photo to match that look.

  9. Once happy, download your image or save it to your Business DNA library for future campaigns.

  10. Ready to run ads? Go to the Campaign section, paste your product URL, write a quick prompt like "create a promo for my new necklaces" and Pomelli builds the whole campaign around your product automatically.

  11. Export and deploy directly to your website, Instagram, or any marketing channel. Done.

That’s it. Most users can generate polished product images in just a few clicks no studio, no photographer, no complex editing required. If results look off, refine your template or get more specific about the setting and style.
