Zuckerberg announces Meta Superintelligence Labs

  • Mark Zuckerberg just announced Meta’s new Superintelligence Labs. The goal? Leapfrog rivals like OpenAI and Google in the race for smarter-than-human AI.

  • Alexandr Wang, the brains behind Scale AI, is now Meta’s Chief AI Officer. Picture the quarterback who just switched teams and brought his playbook with him.

  • Nat Friedman, former GitHub CEO, joins as co-lead. He’s got a track record for building things that actually work — and for spotting talent before the rest of us even know where to look.

  • Meta isn’t shy about poaching. Seven of its ten new hires are from OpenAI, plus big names from Anthropic and Google DeepMind.

My Take: This is essentially Mark's "Avengers Assemble" moment. Meta is betting big on brains, and if things go well, the next AI breakthrough might very well bear a Meta logo.

  • Gemini CLI is Google’s new open-source AI assistant for developers. It lives right in your terminal, ready to code, debug, automate, and even manage cloud stuff. Free for now, with generous limits.

  • It’s not just for code. You can ask it to fetch docs, answer questions, automate boring tasks, or even create content. Think of it as your terminal’s new sidekick — the Robin to your Batman, minus the tights.

  • Here’s how to access it: Log in with your Google account, snag a Gemini Code Assist license, and you’re off. You get access to Gemini 2.5 Pro and a whopping 1 million token context window.

  • Need to customize? It’s open source, so you can tweak, extend, or just peek under the hood. It even plays nice with Google Search, Veo, and Imagen for video and image generation.

My take? This is a practical tool that finally brings AI assistance directly to where developers work. It streamlines common tasks and reduces the need to context-switch between the terminal and external tools.

  • Cursor just launched its coding assistant for web and mobile. Now you can squash bugs or build features while waiting for your coffee. Truly coding in your pocket.

  • Claude lets you build and share AI apps right inside the Claude app. No deployment headaches, no API keys, and users pay for their own usage. You can whip up games, writing tools, or data helpers and share them with a link — just describe what you want, and Claude does the heavy lifting.

  • ChatGPT now connects to Google Drive, Dropbox, SharePoint, and Box for Pro users (except in EEA, CH, UK). Pull your files right into ChatGPT and keep your work flowing.

  • US lawmakers are pushing a bill to block Chinese (and some other countries’) AI from government use. They want to keep “adversarial” models far from sensitive US networks. If it passes, only approved AI will get to play in Uncle Sam’s sandbox.

How to Analyse Any Video with Gemini

Upload your video to Gemini, then use its AI tools to analyze and ask questions.

  1. Go to the Gemini website or app.

  2. Sign in with your Google account.

  3. Find the “Upload” or “Add Video” button.

  4. Select your video file and upload it.

  5. Wait for Gemini to process the video (can take a few minutes).

  6. Use the chat box to ask things like:

    • “Summarize this video.”

    • “What objects do you see?”

    • “What’s being said at 1:30?”

  7. Gemini will give you text answers, scene breakdowns, or even transcripts.

  8. Download or copy the results if you need them.

Gemini makes video analysis super easy. Just upload, wait, and ask. It can spot people, read text, and even summarize what’s happening.

You don’t need any tech skills — just type your questions and Gemini does the rest. It’s like having a film critic, a stenographer, and a coder all crammed into one polite AI.
