  • Personalized fixes: Remove sunglasses, open eyes, and adjust smiles using private face groups for accurate people edits.

  • Ask-to-edit on iOS: Describe changes with voice or text, the redesigned editor lands on iOS with gestures and one‑tap suggestions.

  • Nano Banana restyles: Transform shots into Renaissance portraits, tile mosaics, or children’s storybook pages, just name the style.

  • AI templates: New “Create with AI” on Android (U.S., India) with prompts like high‑fashion shoots, pro headshots, and holiday cards.

Personal take: Nano Banana in Google Photos is cool. It makes editing easy. Say what you want, and the app does it. But the future is tricky. AI and real life will look the same. Family photos, news pics, even selfies can be changed in seconds. If we don’t show what’s edited and keep the original safe, we’ll mix up facts and stories.

Say goodbye to clunky keyword searches, LinkedIn’s newest feature lets Premium users in the U.S. discover relevant professionals using natural conversation. This AI-driven upgrade promises smarter matchmaking, opening new doors for networking and opportunity.

  • Now you simply describe the type of person they want to find in plain English, instead of relying on keywords or rigid filters.

  • Example: You can search for “someone who’s grown a small business” or “an expert in digital marketing” and instantly get the most relevant people.

  • The new system leverages advanced AI and LinkedIn’s vast professional data to deliver highly accurate results.

  • It eliminates the need for detailed info like job title or company to connect with the right talent or experts.

  • This platform is designed to transform connections into real opportunities, whether that involves launching a business, switching jobs, or seeking mentorship.

  • Currently available for U.S. Premium subscribers, with plans for wider rollout soon.

Personal Take: The future of networking finally looks promising. Some real use cases of AI are coming across in social media. But again comes the challenge of protecting people's data and privacy and yet being discovered. Interesting to see how this shapes up.

OpenAI just rolled out GPT-5.1, a dual-mode powerhouse designed to make ChatGPT feel faster, smarter and more human to talk to. The update introduces two new models, Instant and Thinking, and they’re changing how AI holds a conversation.

  • Instant Mode: Handles most chats, delivering quick, natural replies for daily use.

  • Thinking Mode: Dials up reasoning power for tough, multi-step problems and creative tasks.

  • GPT-5.1 can now auto-detect question difficulty, allocating more compute for complex queries and firing off instant answers for simple ones.

  • Users get eight new personality modes: Default, Professional, Friendly, Candid, Quirky, Efficient, Nerdy and Cynical, with real-time tone tuning for warmth, wit and emoji use.

  • Early access lands this week for Pro, Plus, Go and Business users, with a one-week preview for Enterprise and Education. Older GPT-5 builds will stay live for three months.

OpenAI says GPT-5.1 marks “significant improvements” in math, code and logic, it reflects in benchmarks like AIME 2025 and Codeforces. The “Thinking” variant simplifies dense ideas, cutting the jargon for clarity and flow.

Personal Take: This update isn’t just a speed boost but a personality with processing power. OpenAI’s turning ChatGPT into something more conversational, more customizable and also dangerously indistinguishable from a human thought partner.

How to Create a Presentation in Gemini Canvas

  • Go to gemini.google.com on your computer browser.

  • Click on Tools and select the "Canvas" option

  • In the Canvas prompt text box, type a clear and descriptive command for the presentation you want. For example, write: "Create a presentation titled 'How AI Shapes the Future' with about 7-8 informative slides covering AI's impact on society, economy, healthcare, and education."

  • You can also specify style or layout preferences if you want, such as "Use a professional blue and white theme" or "Include relevant visuals and icons."

  • After you enter your prompt, click the submit. Gemini Canvas will then process your request and generate a draft presentation with the slides automatically created based on your prompt.

  • Once the slide deck is generated, review each slide to ensure it covers the key points you want. Click on any text or element to edit, add more details, or adjust the wording to fit your style.

  • You can ask Gemini Canvas to refine specific slides by typing new instructions, e.g., "Make slide 3 more concise," or "Add a graph about AI adoption rates on slide 5."

  • Gemini Canvas supports visuals like images, icons, and charts. You can prompt it to add these elements by mentioning in your messages, for example, "Add an AI trend graph on slide 4." Adjust colors, fonts, or layouts if you want to customize the presentation further.

  • When you are satisfied with the presentation, click the export option. Choose to export the presentation to Google Slides or download it as a PowerPoint file for easy sharing and professional use.

  • You can also share a link directly from Gemini Canvas to collaborate with others.
