OpenAI just rolled out o3-Pro, its “most capable” AI model so far. It is a beefed-up take on the earlier o3 reasoning model, built to think step-by-step for tougher questions.
Key Insights:
Price: $20 per million input tokens and $80 per million output tokens. For scale, a million input tokens equals roughly 750,000 words. This optimization makes o3 80% cheaper for developers.
Expert reviewers prefer o3-Pro over plain o3 in every test area. Gains show up strongly in science, education, programming, business and writing tasks, with higher clarity and accuracy.

Access to tools: As per OpenAI, it can search the web, analyse files, reason over images, runs Python and tailors replies using memory.
Expect slower answers than older models. All that extra reasoning takes more time to finish a response.
o3-Pro lands in ChatGPT Pro and Team today, with Enterprise and Edu next week. Developers can also tap it right away through the API.

Apple just rolled out a fresh wave of “Apple Intelligence” upgrades across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and even Vision Pro, all revealed at WWDC 25.

Developers get the keys: A new Foundation Models framework lets any app tap the on-device Apple Intelligence model with as little as three lines of Swift, free of cloud fees and usable.
Live Translation: Messages, FaceTime and Phone can now translate chats or calls in real time, keeping the work entirely on the device so conversations stay.

Workout Buddy on Apple Watch: Using fitness history plus live metrics, it talks you through runs, rides and HIIT sessions in a trainer-style voice generated.
Smarter Shortcuts: New “intelligent actions” let shortcuts summarise text, create images or compare lecture notes using local or Private Cloud Compute models.

Amazon MGM Studios is developing a feature film called “Artificial,” which will dramatize the whirlwind five-day period in November 2023 when OpenAI fired — and then quickly rehired — its co-founder and CEO Sam Altman.
The movie centers on Altman’s brief ouster, which the board said was due to a loss of trust, and the frantic negotiations that brought him back just days later—prime material for a high-stakes tech drama. The project, still in early development, underscores how swiftly the real-life saga unfolded and why it remains a hot topic as AI tools like ChatGPT capture public imagination.
Behind the camera, acclaimed director Luca Guadagnino is in talks to helm, while “Saturday Night Live” writer Simon Rich has penned a script that promises comedic beats amid the tension. Early casting chatter points to Andrew Garfield as Altman, Monica Barbaro as former CTO Mira Murati and Yura Borisov as co-founder Ilya Sutskever—adding star power to an already headline-grabbing story.
